Canary Systems Inc. is Hiring a Remote Project Manager
Canary Systems is an electronic hardware and software engineering firm specializing in civil engineering related monitoring and instrumentation applications. Projects include monitoring of earth and concrete dams, bridges, tunnels and buildings. We operate in several markets including construction, mining, geotechnical, industrial and public infrastructure.
We are looking for a person with a mining background to manage and support the implementation of our systems at various projects world-wide. Candidate must be located in either Salt Lake City, Utah or Reno, Nevada.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop project proposals, specifications and designs
- Manage project installations and client relations
- Manage project budget
- Evaluation of project performance
- Manage sub-contractors and Canary staff
- Prepare project documentation
- Provide installation services
- Provide training and other services
- Coordinate support or provide support as needed
- Prepare project/case histories for marketing & sales
- Present project/case histories at conferences/client meetings
Expertise Required:
- Software including database technologies such as SQL and ODBC
- Geotechnical data reduction and presentation methods
- Geotechnical instrumentation applications and installation
- Monitoring systems including electronics and software
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Survey technologies including robotics and GPS
